This was a great cake to take to a dinner party! I did brush the cakes with heavy whipping cream and sprinkled on turbinado sugar. This added an additional texture and sweetness. 🍓🍰

We went to the strawberry farm and picked tons of fresh strawberries. I have never made a shortcake and made this recipe exactly as written. The flavors were excellent and a hit by all. We all found the ratios of shortcake to filling a bit off. It either needed more filling or 1 less layer. Will definitely make again but with 2 layers instead of 3. Thanks for a great recipe!

I mixed and matched and used the most amazing white cake recipe (from this website 🙂 ) with the strawberries and whipped cream frosting from this recipe. Our Most Amazing Strawberry TallCake was absolutely delicious! Thank you! I look forward to making the recipe again with the short cake :).
