I & my family love these rolls! These are my “special” rolls I make for the holidays & for any time really we want rolls. I make them in the bread machine on the dough setting to mix & rise, then make them into rolls when dough has risen & almost overflows pan in bread machine (I usually don’t leave dough in for whole dough cycle). Then roll into balls in greased pan, & let rise until they’re a good size, they come out perfect every time. These are the best! 👌

Hi I just read your comment & wanted to reach out with a tip about the size of your rolls. If you have a kitchen scale & a bread scraper. Take the scraper & cut in equal pieces of dough then weight it to make sure you have all the rolls the same size. Never rip the dough it makes a big difference from a bread scraper & a knife. My family had a bakery for over 60 years. Your flour also makes a BIG difference I always use AP flour but king Arthur brand. It’s a higher quality flour & if you use a bread machine king Arthur has great bread flour. I hope this helps some have a good day

Recently, I made 7 dozen in one day for a mission banquet and fund raiser bake auction to aid three African countries, One dozen went for $25.00 and about one dozen was left. Evert time I make them people are eating 2 or 3 at a time and nobody has ever complained. Their ratings are always extremely high. All the credit goes to your recipe and for the joy I get from making them is because of the recipe.
I make one difference. I add all the dry ingredients including the yeast (only 4 cups of the flour at first), to my stad up mixer. Mix with the dough hook, then the milk, eggs and butter. Always successful. I also use it for cinnamon buns.

It truly is an easy recipe. I am 88 years old but that doesn’t stop me from baking.

Did you watch the video? I have a section in there where I show you how to roll your doughs by making a cupping shape with your hand and rolling against your thumb. I taught it to Chef Cayt too! So handy.

I had a little trouble rolling the dough into balls, there were like fissues in the roll itself. I could not get an even sided roll. the end result was that the rolls turned out in odd shapes.They tasted great. What am I doing wrong? Can you help me. I am a senior and have started making both bread and rolls. I having the same difficulty shaping my bread. Please advise. thank you

Easy to prepare. I only used 5.5 cups of flour, but followed the recipe as written. Transporting them for Easter dinner, so will top with melted butter when reheated. My family will love these along with the ham we’re serving. Thanks for a tried and true recipe!
