Instead of thickening with flour, I add a packet or two of country gravy mix. Not only does it thicken the soup, it also adds flavor.

This was a whole-family success (toddler included)! I omitted the tarragon because I didn’t have it handy and I added a little cheddar cheese at the same time as the sour cream and it was delish!!! I’ll be adding this to my regular hearty soup rotation!
